We recently completed a cool installation at the Rochester Golf and Country Club. In the past they had issues with guests not being able to hear presentations very well during events in their banquette rooms. They were looking for a solution to offer those who required some hearing assistance. They were in the midst of a remodel and were tearing up the carpet, so it was the perfect time for us to install an Induction Loop System. An Induction Loop System consists of one or more loops of wire, driven by an amplifier to produce a magnetic field. Adding an audio input to the amp, fluctuates the magnetic field and these fields (magnetic waves) are picked up by t-coil equipped devices, like hearing aids. The t-coil devices amplify the signal and turn it back into sound waves that the ear can hear. All technical mumbo jumbo aside, with this new system the guests attending events will be able to hear the program without any additional equipment; they just need to switch on their t-coil in their hearing devices. Those without t-coil hearing devices can request a headset. The audio is isolated and background noise is reduced improving the audio and improving the experience of the guests.
