With so many people working from remote locations near and far, the video and teleconferencing industry has so much to offer businesses of all sizes. Today we completed another video conferencing installation with a line of fantastic equipment including ceiling speakers, a video conferencing camera and a Biamp Devio CR-1 audio processor. My favorite component was the Biamp drop mic. This thing looks so cool suspended from the ceiling and even more impressive is the sound it produces. After I visited the job site today to see the progress and take photos of the prestige installation, I received a Skype call so I could assist with final testing (this is where the fun begins – the real live testing). This drop mic is one smart microphone, it is a beam forwarding mic that tracks you as you speak, making every spot around the table a ‘sweet spot’. What is equally impressive is the consistency of my voice coming out of the Klipsch speakers. This BiAmp Devio can take the credit for that. I lower my voice, and raised my voice, I even yelled on my Skype call, and the guys reported they heard a consistent clear sound on the other end. When you bring together these great components you get one powerful communication tool.
